Italian Centre of Solidarity - Centro Italiano di Solidarieta of Rome (CeIS) - is an Italian non-government and non-profit organisation founded in Rome in 1971. During more than 30 years of its activities, CeIS has developed a large spectrum of programmes covering different aspects of drug addiction (prevention of drug addiction, treatment, rehabilitation and social reintegration of drug addicted persons), as well as other social problems, such as marginalization, homeless people, adolescents and problem families.
It has many years experience in preparation and implementation of international projects, with participation of UN Specialized Agencies, Italian government, European Commission programmes and many other organisations.
Furthermore, CeIS organizes training activities for social operators and specialists of NGOs and creates networks of NGOs in Europe and other countries. |
