Project: Medical Screening for Immigrants from Moscow

Project goals

At the request of immigration authorities of Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand and other resettlement countries, IOM performs medical assessment for those immigrants whose visa applications have been tentatively approved. This includes physical examinations, laboratory tests, treatment for some diseases, counseling and appropriate referral to health providers after arrival in their destinations. IOM/Moscow’s Medical Section also supervises similar activities in other CIS countries such as Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
