Project: YOUTH AT ORPHANAGES IN PSKOV

SIDA.2002.A
01/01/2002 - 31/12/2005 (48 months)

Project goals

The project aims to provide better opportunities for the children and youth about to leave the orphanage Opotjka in the Pskov region. Training and educational activities both for policy-makers and staff at the orphanage will equip them to activate and prepare the children for a life outside the isolated institution. The children and youth will also receive training in everyday activities such as cleaning, washing and other daily routines. 15 persons will go on a study tour to Sweden to learn about social work and various alternatives to assist children in need in a local setting.
