Project goals
1.Reduce incidence, mortality and tuberculosis spread.
2.Prevent the development of drug-resistance mycobacterium tuberculosis |
Tasks
1.Detection of TB with mycobacterium tuberculosis + in 70% of cases;
2.Successful recovery of 85% of patients among new cases with infectious forms of lung tuberculosis with a view to reduce TB spread, reduce TB incidence, reduce development of drug-resistance.

Activities
Activities (include 5 main components):
1.adherence of the government (authorities) to combat TB;
2.detection of new cases with the help of microscopical studies of sputum of patients on suspicion of TB;
3.standard chemotherapy at all stages under direct control of drug- use;
4.constant provision of the necessary amount of drugs;
5.system of monitoring to control the course of program implementation to combat TB and evaluation of its effectiveness.

Results
1.Implemented report documentation on registration and effectiveness of treating patients under direct control of health personnel on the whole territory; 2.Оrganized monitoring system of the course of program implementation and its evaluation;
3.Reached stabilization of epidemiological situation with the tendency to reduce incidence level and TB spread;
4.Provided controlled treatment of patients with TB;
5.Organized work of microscopy centers in all large health facilities of cities and regions.
