We glad to invite you to participate in scientific and practical Internet-conference "Science and Innovation in Medicine - 2010".

Organizer: Research Laboratory "SQLab.

The aim of the conference: introduction of the use of statistical methods to analyze medical data, as well as, attracting scientists and experts in the field of medicine, public health and health care to the publication of scientific papers on the Internet.

Conference materials are published in the electronic newsletter "EskulaB, registered in the Federal Service for Supervision of Telecom and Mass Communications (Certificate of Registration Media № 77-34999).

n/a First Global Forum on Human Resources for Health

Date: 2-7 March 2008
Place: Kampala, Uganda

The Global Health Workforce Alliance (GHWA) will convene the first Global Forum on Human Resources for Health from 2 to 7 March 2008 in Kampala, Uganda. Africa is the worst affected by the health workforce crisis. The forum will facilitate an analysis of what works, of what has not worked and why, and of how to accelerate progress. It will act as a launching pad for a global action plan.

About 1000 participants are expected to attend the event. Participants include GHWA members, global leaders in health and development sectors and representatives from governments, civil society organizations, UN and multilateral agencies, professional associations, the private sector and academic institutions.

The GHWA is a partnership dedicated to identifying and implementing solutions to the health workforce crisis. It is hosted and administered by WHO.

18/02/2008 International Conference “Effective and Evidence-Based Treatment for Drug Addiction in the HIV Era”

Event Location: Moscow, Russia
An international conference titled “Effective and Evidence-Based Treatment for Drug Addiction in the HIV Era” will be held on February 18 and February 19 in Moscow. The conference is being co-organized by Transatlantic Partners Against AIDS (TPAA) and the Institute for Mental Health Research, in coordination with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Harm Reduction Development, with financial support from the Canadian International Development Agency.

Topics to be addressed include: contemporary methods of drug addiction treatment and prevention, contemporary methods of HIV prevention, correlation of drug use and the HIV epidemic, CIS and international experience in implementing medication assisted treatment (MAT) programs as a method of HIV prevention among injecting drug users, and prospects for introducing MAT programs in Russia. More than 200 participants will attend the conference, including chief narcologists from the CIS and federal districts of Russia and world-recognized specialists from Western Europe and the United States.
