21/12/2005 Pensions in Russia increased by 525 rubles.
In 2005, pensions in Russian increased by 525 rubles. This means that pensioners received 10% more.
Average sum of a pension has come to R 2, 568 (that is less than 90 dollars per month) comparing to R2, 000 at the beginning of the year.
A further increase is expected next year.

21/12/2005 Moscow authorities tend to develop retail net of state pharmacies.
The state pharmacies will work with unique price-list and equal price policy as well as qualified service. They will purchase from the unique system, which will aim exception of fake medicines.
Metropolitan pharmacies have been registered on December, 1. It is not planned to invest any money in the project. But the specialists of the market disagree with this opinion; they think that metropolitan pharmacies will have additional expenses on logistics and education of the personnel.

20/12/2005 Oleg Rutkovskii, professor diagnoses reforms of health care system as unfavorable
Oleg Rutkovskii, chief medical officer, professor of the First Hospital in Moscow, considers that to lead any reforms on the whole, one needs to know a history of the question, the traditions and the previous experience.
The government should think of the Russian man mentality – he will always call “03” for emergency help, because this number was for years.
Oleg suggests creating special medical centers for voluntary payable dispanserization (that is several doctors’ commission). This will help other hospitals to withstand heave duties.

16/12/2005 Assistant to General Director of WHO on infections problems visited Moscow.
Margaret Chan, the assistant to General Director of WHO, plans to meet with the assistant of the Minister of Healthcare and Social Development – Vladimir Starodubov as well as assistant to the Minister of the foreign affairs of the Russian Federation – Alexandre Yakovenko.
It is planned to discuss such questions as a problem of frightening infections.

National project tends to support domestic manufacturers.
It is planned to spend R 7,5 bln on emergency service over the next two years.
A competition will be organized between suppliers of the medical equipment. Approximate list of the equipment already exists. These will be the most modern equipment. The government is interested in domestic manufacturers of the medical equipment. However, Russia does not produce all kind of the equipment.
