The forming of the system “general practitioner” is not supposed to change the present one but to act simultaneously with it. Actually the Ministry of Health and Social Development informs of the fact that people will have the right to choose whether to go to a family general practitioner or to a physician domiciliary.
The main purpose of a general practitioner is up-grading sanitary knowledge of his patients and consulting them, if necessary. The problem of revealing a disease at the initial stage can be in particular solved by the means of paying enough attention to prophylaxis, which is accomplished by a general practitioner.
The general practitioner renders regular medical and prophylactic attendance to pregnant women and infantile children obligatory.
n/a Forgery medications were registered at more than half of the inspected pharmaceutical distributors of Russia
RIA “Novosti” informs of the fact that with the accordance of revealed forgery of medications at 55 from 107 inspected pharmaceutical distributors, action of the licences has been hold up.
These spot-checks have been patronized by the Ministry of Health and Social Development jointly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. There have been revealed facts of sale of forgery medications and illegally imported ones.
“Besides, there have been found infringements in keeping medical preparations and absence of documentation”. In consequence of these check-ups there have been revealed several facts of licence falsification and cases of infringement of tax legislation.

There are free medications for Moscowers and pediatricians for children
There are free medications for Moscowers and pediatricians for children. One of the main questions to worry is the medication ensuring and the destiny of the pediatrics.
It was possible to save the acting system of medical ensuring in the capital only thanks to reiterated applications made by the Mayer of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov to the president, government and other institutions of executive authorities.
Unfortunately the prescription of medication was determined very strictly by the Ministry of Health and Social Development: a patient could be prescribed only those medications that are found in the federal list of free medications.
The thing that worries is that this very federal list consists of the names of medications, but no medical items (such as crutches) can be found there. Moscow gives such a present to its dwellers, but the city will not be reimbursed for its expenses. The capital appointed 130 million rubles for it.
Speaking about those prices, at which the medications are sold, the chief of the Department of Public Health Service of Moscow Andrei Seltsovsky claimed that taking into accordance several circumstances drop in price is possible.
The problem of pediatricians is not less important. Andrei Seltsovsky believes, “There’s no “either-or”.

n/a The list of medications was enlarged
The list of medications, that are proscribed to privileged people for free, was enlarged. The Ministry of Health and Social Development registers the changes and additions in the order № 245. The list includes now the high-performance medications in case of almost any disease.
In particular the list includes now: medications for cardiovascular illnesses (treatment and prophylaxis), for tumor illnesses, for AIDS.
